The Industrial Engineer, Continuous Improvement analyzes manufacturing processes and designs solutions to increase productivity, eliminate waste, reduce costs, and ensure quality and safety standards are maintained. This position works within the Technical Solutions Continuous Improvement
team to analyze complex processes/practices, design business practice improvements, implement modifications in workflows, structures, and teams, as well as develop and rollout metrics for monitoring efficiencies to ensure project success and high-level group performance.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process Analysis & Solution Development
  • Review and analyze systematic and mechanical production layouts, specifications, schedules, and related information
  • Collaborate with Business owners utilizing lean tools to learn current process, as well as to gain feedback on gaps and points to accurately map process from end to end
  • Design production processes, technology upgrades and control systems that maximize efficiency, reduce waste, and minimize cost
  • Develop and document production standards in collaboration with business owners and management
  • Prepare all project improvement materials, including schematics, equipment lists, facility layouts, cost analyses and estimated production costs
  • Strategic Alignment, Training & Deployment
  • Maintain and complete project documentation to ensure accurate project tracking and success in collaboration with the Continuous Improvement Specialist and Senior Coordinator
  • Create required training to guide team members of new processes and provide all required instructions with documentation
  • Participate in the development and execution of the project closeout to evaluate overall project success, business owners\' satisfaction and complete a transfer of all deliverables, resources and metrics to the business owners and stakeholders
  • If this position has any direct reports, additional responsibilities include:
- Overall management of staff, ensuring assignments and duties are completed as required

- Compose and conduct performance reviews

- Provide guidance, training, mentoring, coaching and development

- Make recommendations regarding hiring, promoting and terminating

Qualifications
  • Bachelor\'s Degree (or equivalent experience) in Industrial Engineering
  • Minimum 3 years Industrial Engineering experience in a manufacturing or production facility
  • MS Office Suite (Outlook, PPT, Word, Excel, Access)
  • PLC Programming and Debugging
  • Robotic programming, vision systems
  • SAP production system
