$2,994.79 to $3,593.75 biweekly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Performs skilled professional engineering work coordinating, planning, designing, reviewing, inspecting, and/or implementing assigned projects.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering PLUS five (5) years of experience in Civil Engineering with an emphasis on traffic engineering and/or transportation engineering, or a closely related field; OR Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering PLUS four (4) years of experience as a Brevard County Engineer I in Traffic Engineering and/or Transportation Engineering, or a closely related field. Supervisory experience is preferred.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver\'s license and maintain said license during the term of employment. Must possess, or obtain within six (6) months of employment, a valid active State of Florida Professional Engineer (PE) license, in accordance with the requirements of Florida Statute 471 and maintain said license in an active status during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
