End User Device Technician

looking to enter the Information Technology career field, and join our team in

Annapolis Junction, MD

Responsibilities:

Provides installation/troubleshooting support to VOIP phones, Teleconferencing equipment, AVMM/conference rooms, printers, desktop computers, other hardware devices as requested, and completes associated cabling work. Supports refresh, modernization, projects, and Service Task Order activities as required. Follows proper processes of equipment classification and sanitization. Conducts equipment surveys, inventories, completes database updates, and assists with logistical services for associated equipment. Works all of the above requirements within Service Level Agreement time windows as needed but primarily works in the pre-deployment arena of the hardware. Travels to support other locations within this area as needed. Up to 25% travel may be required but is not routine.

Minimum Qualifications:

Entry level with interest in learning IT hardware support. Willingness to learn installation/troubleshooting of end user devices such as VOIP phones, Teleconferencing equipment, AVMM/conference rooms, printers, desktop computers, other hardware devices. Possess an IAT level II baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M such as Security +

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience supporting all hardware found in an office setting (laptops, phones, monitors, printer, computers, etc. Experience with a ticketing system, preferably ServiceNow. Experience with cabling installation, splicing, and fabrication.

Clearance Requirements:

Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph, or Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with Poly

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer * The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
