AMR Colorado Springs is actively seeking dedicated Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) to join our team. Our EMTs play a vital role in providing prompt, high-quality medical assistance during both emergency and non-emergency situations. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the community by delivering exceptional patient care, ensuring safety, and fostering positive community relations.


This position works full-time 12-hour shifts, which are often nights, weekends, and holidays.

Key Responsibilities

Patient Assessment and Care:

Conduct thorough assessments of patients, determine necessary medical interventions, and administer emergency care utilizing appropriate techniques and equipment.

Documentation:

Accurately record patient information, medical conditions, and treatments while respecting patient confidentiality and rights.

Environment Maintenance:

Maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment to ensure optimal patient care and safety.

Use of Medical Equipment:

Employ EMT skills effectively, including communication devices, medical tools, cleaning procedures, and office equipment, to deliver comprehensive care.

Ambulance Operation:

Operate emergency response vehicles in accordance with company safety policies and traffic laws, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of patients.

Team Collaboration:

Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals, public safety personnel, and fellow EMTs to provide coordinated patient care.

Additional Responsibilities

Participate in community outreach programs to promote AMR's positive image and strengthen community relationships.

Minimum Qualifications

--------------------------

High School Diploma or GED equivalent Colorado EMT certification

CPR/BLS

certification (AHA or Red Cross) Valid State Driver's License in good standing Driving record compliant with company policies Successful completion of the Physical Ability Test (PAT)

EMT IV Endorsement Certification NREMT Previous healthcare related work experience
