Part-Time Employment Coach

(20 to 30 hours a week) to join our team! We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to work, and we're committed to training the right person who shares our vision.

In this rewarding role, you'll guide individuals in developing essential work skills and discovering fulfilling career paths. You'll provide hands-on support, including facilitating volunteer opportunities and delivering tailored curriculum to enhance job readiness.

What You'll Do:

Conduct one-on-one coaching sessions to assess clients' skills, interests, and career aspirations. Provide mentoring and support in areas such as resume writing, interviewing techniques, and job search strategies. Work collaboratively with local employers to identify suitable job opportunities for clients. Help clients learn, develop, and enhance essential job skills through volunteer opportunities and other practical experiences. Maintain accurate records of client progress and outcomes to inform ongoing coaching strategies. Stay updated on best practices in social work and career coaching methodologies. Health & Safety: Monitor and ensure the health and safety of individuals by following care plans and reporting any health concerns to supervisors. Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of services provided, including daily logs, incident reports, and progress notes. Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and needs of individuals, ensuring they have a voice in decisions affecting their lives. Communication: Communicate effectively with individuals, families, and team members, fostering a supportive and respectful environment.

What You'll Bring:

Must be over 18 years of age.

Valid driver's license and willingness to use your own car for client transportation. Jackson County Area will be area you work in

with

clients.

Ability to pass a family background check. High School Diploma or equivalent. Strong organizational skills and the ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision. Resourceful and self-directed, with a proactive approach to your work. Excellent communication skills, email maintenance, and flexibility. Experience with Microsoft Outlook. A passion for helping individuals achieve their career goals. Proven experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly desirable. Background in mentoring or coaching within a workforce development context is beneficial. Skills in interviewing techniques and recruiting processes are a plus. A commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive environment that supports diverse populations. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Some post-secondary education in a related field is preferred. Experience: Previous experience working with individuals with IDD is preferred but not required. Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, patience, empathy, and a commitment to providing high-quality support.
Working Conditions:

Environment: Work is performed in various settings, including individual homes, community locations, Schedule: Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and as needed. Mileage: Mileage is included in the hourly rate and will not be paid separately.
Job Types: Part-time - Opportunities for Full Time Hours As Well

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour depending on experience

Expected hours: 20 - 30 per week
