Outpatient Registered Nurse (RN) Job Responsibilities:

Plans, implements and manages programs that support the health, safety and well-being of team members. Focuses on the promotion and restoration of health, prevention of illness/injury and protection from occupational and environmental hazards. Serves as the health advocate for team members and management. Organizes and prioritizes clinical activities to maximize effective utilization of time and resources to achieve desired outcomes. Collaborates with the EOHS Nurse Consultant and Infection Control Practitioner in conducting post-exposure surveillance to ensure early detection and treatment of infections. Educates team members regarding the risk of contracting infectious disease in the work place and the importance of compliance to post exposure processes.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:

BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.

Licensure:

RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse.

Experience

: 0 years of registered nurse clinical experience.

Certification:

BLS from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

* 2 years of experience as a RN in ambulatory medicine
