PURPOSE OF POSITION: To assist in overseeing all aspects of the daily customer service operations in Empire Pass. To ensure guest, owner and employee satisfaction at Empire Pass. To provide a safe environment for the guests, owners and employees. To act as the point of contact in the absence of the Guest Services Manager. To assist the Guest Service Manager with planning, scheduling and training of new Guest Service Agents. To assist the Guest Services Manager to achieve budgeted profitability by adhering to Deer Valley Resort Service and Safety Standards and exercise fiscal responsibility and sound management practices. To Act as the "eyes and ears" of the front of the house operations.

SPECIFIC JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Experience in the hospitality industry, preferably front desk, concierge, and front of house operations. 1 year experience in hospitality management preferred
  • Must be computer literate and have a working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Possess strong interpersonal verbal and written communication skills and the ability to develop a strong professional working relationship with homeowners, guests and staff
  • Possess tremendous patience and understanding, superior problem solving skills and have a great sense of humor and professional demeanor
  • Must be self-motivated, detail oriented, and willing to accept all job responsibilities with equal enthusiasm
  • Must be able to multi-task, be organized, and prioritize effectively
  • Must be able to manage the staff required for the daily operations in Empire Pass, including the HOAs, management only, and rental management residences in contract with DVRL&M
  • Flexible schedule, weekends and evening shifts may be required
  • Must be able to lift 40 lbs., carry luggage and have a valid Driver\'s License

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Act as a liaison for all departments within Empire Pass, working with all departments and department managers to foster a spirit of teamwork and cooperation
  • Be able to demonstrate and hold staff accountable to all DVR policies such as grooming and uniform standards, attendance, and guest services etiquette
  • Ensure departmental checklists are completed daily; and feel comfortable tasking out employees to assist in the completion of all tasks
  • Efficiently operate a variety of programs including but not limited to Maestro, Norm, Fred, Managers Plus, Kipsu, Gmail, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
  • Demonstrate proactive guest, owner and employee problem resolution with urgency, respect and empathy. Document problems and resolutions and respond promptly to all owner and guest requests
  • Assist in managing all front desk operations, including but not limited to concierge, bell staff, ticket sales and guest reservation check-in and check-out procedures
  • Assist in responsible staffing and budget management by reviewing the schedule for accurate coverage, and letting staff go early, when appropriate or requiring staff to stay late, if necessary
  • Assist in the training and development of new staff. Be seen as a mentor and help staff to advance within Deer Valley
  • Conduct daily stand-up meetings and participate in weekly department manager staff meetings in the absence of the Guest Services Manager
  • Facilitate communication with owners regarding special concierge requests, coordinating owner communication and bookings of owner reservations
  • Completing and reviewing for accuracy: Daily Reports for Lift Tickets, and Maestro Nightly Audit Report.
  • Have working knowledge of all department operations and cross train as needed
  • Assist Lodge keepers when necessary with both breakfast and apr\xc3\xa8s ski
  • Participate in consistent staff recognition and encourage others to participate, as well.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • Uniform requirements (work shirt, vest, jacket, and name tag) are provided by the company. Employee must provide sturdy work shoes, and black pants.
