ROLE: Emergency Unit Registered Nurse - Local Agency Contract | Shiprock, New Mexico
$92/ HR- Wage
$25/ SHIFT meal per diem
$1350/ Month Accommodation Stipend
$1500/ Year Relocation Stipend

QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY:
Registered Nurse License in good standing with the New Mexico Board of Nursing
Current CPR certification
Professional Liability Protection MANDATORY
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum two years recent experience working as an Emergency Registered Nurse
SKILLS & ABILITY:
High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, hospital software applications.
Ability to think critically and multitask in a high-pressure situation.
Ability to organize and manage an office setting and work with all.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and as a team member; establish and maintain cooperative and collaborative working relationships with members of the interdisciplinary team, and exercise judgment by participating in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care according to college standards.

BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs according to the Standards of Professional Practice set out by the New Mexico Board of Nursing and in compliance with the policies, procedures, and standards of the facility.
Accepts clinical responsibility and professional accountability for the care delivered to assigned patients.
Participates as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team, fulfilling responsibilities as such.
Complies with The Ethical Framework for Registered Nurses in New Mexico.
Provides direction, guidance, supervision.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Prioritize patients based on the severity of their condition using established triage protocols.
Rapidly identify life-threatening conditions requiring immediate attention.
Obtain a detailed patient history, including symptoms, allergies, and medications.
Perform quick, focused physical assessments.
Administer medications, oxygen therapy, and IV fluids as needed.
Perform lifesaving interventions, such as CPR, defibrillation, or airway management, according to ACLS and BLS protocols.
Continuously monitor vital signs and assess patient responses to treatments.
Identify and respond to deterioration in a patient's condition quickly.
Draw blood, collect urine or other specimens, and ensure proper labeling and handling.
Explain procedures, treatments, and medications to patients and their families in understandable terms.
Provide emotional support during traumatic or stressful situations.
Carry out all work assignments safely and be knowledgeable of and in compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations, as well as other legislation as applicable.
Must comply with:
Human Resource, Corporation, and Department Policies
Must provide satisfactory Level 2 Background Check
Must maintain Registered Nurse License in good standing with the New Mexico Board of Nursing and in compliance with the policies, procedures, and standards of the facility
