Travel ER RN - Day/Night Rotate (13-Week Contract)

Roles & Responsibilities



Deliver comprehensive emergency care for patients across all age groups with conditions ranging from trauma, acute illness, respiratory distress, chest pain, neuro emergencies, and behavioral health crises. Triage incoming patients (no separate triage area) using sound clinical judgment. Manage and titrate critical drips including insulin, heparin, levofed, amiodarone, cardizem, and propofol. Assist with respiratory interventions: BiPAP, vents, heated high-flow, bubble CPAP, and intubation support. Independently read and interpret cardiac monitor strips. Collaborate effectively with providers, techs, coordinators, and ancillary staff to ensure safe patient flow. Float to Med/Surg or sitter roles as needed without working outside scope. Support trauma cases, high-acuity emergencies, alcohol intoxication/withdrawal, infectious diseases, fractures, burns, and psychiatric emergencies. Maintain accurate documentation in Meditech.

Qualifications



Minimum 2 years of recent ER experience. Comfortable mixing medications and managing high-acuity emergencies. Ability to work Day/Night rotating shifts. Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and communication skills.

Education



ADN or BSN accepted.

Required Certifications



BLS ACLS PALS NIHSS

Preferred Certifications:

TNCC, NRP

Knowledge & Skills



Proficient in emergency triage and rapid assessment. Skilled in titratable drips and cardiac rhythm interpretation. Strong knowledge of trauma protocols and respiratory equipment. Effective communication under pressure. Excellent time management and adaptability in fast-paced environments.
