to join our healthcare team. The ER RN provides direct patient care to individuals experiencing urgent, acute, and sometimes life-threatening conditions. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to remain calm under pressure, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to deliver safe, high-quality emergency care.
Responsibilities:
Triage and assess patients upon arrival, prioritizing care based on acuity.
Provide emergency nursing interventions, including IV access, medication administration, wound care, and cardiac monitoring.
Assist physicians and advanced providers with diagnostic tests, procedures, and resuscitation efforts.
Monitor patient conditions, recognize changes, and respond quickly to critical situations.
Operate and maintain emergency medical equipment (defibrillators, ventilators, etc.).
Document all assessments, treatments, and patient responses accurately in the EMR system.
Educate patients and families on care plans, follow-up instructions, and health management.
Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Adhere to infection control, safety, and emergency department protocols.
Qualifications:
Active
Registered Nurse (RN) license
in [ME State or Compact State RN License].
Minimum
1 year of acute care nursing experience
; ER or critical care experience preferred.
Current
BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
required; TNCC and ENPC preferred.
Strong critical thinking, decision-making, and communication skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
