Responsibilities

Assess and prioritise patient needs upon arrival, ensuring prompt and appropriate care Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by medical practitioners Monitor patient vital signs and observe for any changes in condition, documenting findings accurately Assist with emergency procedures such as resuscitation, wound management, and stabilisation of critically ill patients Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including doctors, paramedics, and support staff Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, post-discharge care, and health promotion strategies Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and health and safety regulations at all times Ensure all documentation is completed accurately and in accordance with legal and organisational standards

Skills

Proven experience in patient care within an emergency or acute care setting Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology relevant to emergency medicine Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues Ability to remain calm under pressure while making quick, informed decisions Organised with meticulous attention to detail in record keeping and clinical procedures Competent in using medical equipment common in emergency departments Flexibility to work shifts including nights, weekends, and public holidays as required by the hospital rota

Pay: $1,662.39 - $2,002.02 per week
