Listed is the base hiring salary range offered for this position. Actual salaries may vary depending on factors, including but not limited to skills and experience. The salary range listed is just one component of the total rewards/compensation package offered to candidates.

Mid = $18.40

Max = $20.80


Summary:

The

ER Ambassador

serves as the first point of contact for patients, families, and visitors in the emergency department. This role is dedicated to creating a welcoming, safe, and compassionate environment while providing guidance, directions, and information about hospital policies and procedures. The Ambassador greets guests upon arrival, assists with visitors' access, and ensures a positive experience by addressing concerns and providing immediate support when needed. By combining knowledge of hospital services with a patient-focused approach, the ER Ambassador works to make every interaction in the ER lobby efficient, comforting, and remarkable.



Responsibilities:

Ability to converse with people of diverse backgrounds and all levels of authority. Must be detail-oriented and demonstrate problem solving and critical thinking skills. Greets patients, families, and visitors promptly and professionally upon arrival.



Assists or provide patients/visitors with information, resources, and directions. Facilitates communication between patients, visitors, physicians, and other staff. Provides lear information regarding ER processes, wait times, and available resources.


Must demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Assists patients and visitors with check-in procedures, directions, and general inquiries.


Contributes to the organization by actively participating in process improvement initiatives and shared decision makingPromotes a culture of compassion, respect, and patient-centered care.


Documents patient interactions and feedback as required.


Address patient and family concerns with empathy and escalate issues as appropriate.


Other duties as assigned.
