$1,000 per credit hour developed

SUMMARY OF POSITION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:




Developing curriculum for the online Emergency Medical Technician certificate.

DUTIES:



Identify the knowledge, skills, and abilities of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) while adhering to the national emergency medical services education standards for emergency medical technicians as published by the United States Department of Transportation, National Highway Traffic Safety Administration Develop course outlines, descriptions, and lecture or lab needs for the EMT online program. Develop laboratory exercises and provide a schedule for laboratory days throughout the semester. Collaborate with academic leadership and industry in the EMT program pathway development. Maintains good public relations while working with faculty, staff, and students. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:



REQUIRED



Certified as an NREMT Emergency Medical Technician Licensed EMT in North Dakota Knowledgeable in course content, effective in teaching their assigned subjects, and capable through academic preparation, training, and experience to teach courses or topics to which they are assigned. Working knowledge of - Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle multiple projects. Ability to work independently and handle interruptions. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with diverse personalities.

PREFERRED:



ND EMS Instructor Coordinator Experience with curriculum and course development. Experience working with Blackboard or other Learning Management Systems. Experience in post-secondary teaching Substantial industry experience
