Qualifications




Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution. Current licensure to practice veterinary medicine in New York State. Demonstrated experience in emergency or critical care veterinary medicine preferred. Excellent interpersonal and client-service skills. Commitment to ongoing professional development and learning.

Working Conditions




Fast-paced clinical environment requiring critical decision-making and physical stamina. Irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Exposure to distressed animals, their owners, and challenging cases. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Clinical Excellence:

Provide comprehensive patient evaluations, diagnostics, and emergency treatments, including surgical interventions as needed.

Client Communication:

Effectively communicate with pet owners to explain diagnoses, treatment plans, and recovery strategies.

Collaboration:

Work closely with support staff, fellow veterinarians, and referring clinics to ensure seamless patient care.

Public Relations:

Represent REVS in interactions with the community to foster trust and reinforce the organization's reputation.

Training and Development:

Mentor and support veterinary students and staff members, contributing to a learning-oriented environment.

Resource Allocation:

Assist in ensuring proper utilization of medical resources, including maintaining controlled drug inventory and equipment.

Policy and Protocol Adherence:

Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety regulations, and quality standards. *

Record Keeping:

Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in accordance with legal and organizational requirements.
