Weiser Memorial Hospital is seeking a flexible and dependable full-time Emergency Department Technician to provide support to our ED team. This position is full-time working nights with variable days to be worked. This role works under the supervision of RNs and physicians, assisting in direct patient care, documentation, and maintaining a safe clinical environment. Perfect for someone seeking a dynamic role with flexible scheduling.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the intake and admission of emergency patients Collect and document vital signs, notify RN of abnormal readings Support the care team with procedures, transport, and patient mobility Collect specimens and assist with basic clinical tasks Maintain clean treatment areas and prepare rooms between patients Enter and manage information in the electronic health record (EHR) Demonstrate professionalism and service excellence with patients, families, and staff

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent Current Idaho CNA license required Current BLS certification required EMT license or relevant experience in emergency care; must enroll in EMT or nursing program within one year of hire IV certification within 3 months of hire Completion of basic arrhythmia course within one year of hire Strong communication, organization, and computer skills

Preferred:

One year of experience in an acute hospital or EMS setting Advanced EMT license * Enrollment in or completion of a nursing program
