As an Emergency Department Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing direct and indirect patient care in the emergency medical setting. Communicates with physicians/nursing administration/co-workers, as appropriate, about changes in patient's clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient's condition or response to treatment. Can perform general nursing duties.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough patient assessments and triage incoming patients based on urgency.
Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
Monitor vital signs and patient status, responding promptly to changes in condition.
Provide education and support to patients and families regarding treatment plans and health management.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Utilize EMR systems for efficient patient record management
Participate in emergency response situations, applying critical care skills as needed.
Requirements:
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and emergency medicine protocols.
Current CPR/BLS/ACLS/PALS
Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-stakes environment.
