Overview



The Electrical and Mechanical (E&M) Technician plays a key role in ensuring the reliability and performance of Sentinel's pipeline operations and systems. This hands-on position supports and maintains our critical equipment including Pumps, Safety Devices, SCADA, PLC/HMI, and field communication systems - keeping critical equipment and controls operating safely and efficiently.

You'll work closely with operations, automation, and control center teams to troubleshoot complex electrical, mechanical, and instrumentation issues, while helping drive improvements across our systems and assist with expansion and growth projects.

Key Responsibilities



Maintain and troubleshoot SCADA, PLC/HMI, and field communications systems. Troubleshoot and repair pumps, motors, valves, and other electrical and mechanical equipment. Support and coordinate system expansion and upgrade projects, including scope generation, equipment selection, contractor selection and oversight, and field implementation. Review and work with teams to optimize control logic, alarm management, and system performance. Provide technical support and training to field operations teams. Perform preventive maintenance, regulatory testing, and documentation for ESD systems, controls, and instrumentation. Ensure compliance with DOT and company safety standards. Maintain and Optimize P&IDs, schematics, and system operating manuals

Qualifications



5+ years of electrical and instrumentation work, ideally in pipeline or industrial operations. Technical degree, trade school or equivalent electrical/instrumentation experience. Strong knowledge of AC (120-4160V), DC circuits, pumps, valves, control circuits, and medium-voltage systems. Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical manuals. Computer skills (Word, Excel) and familiarity with SCADA/automation software. Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Communication, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills. Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude and dexterity in the use of tools and equipment Must be able to demonstrate sound judgment with the ability to make decisions Possess a strong commitment to personal and job safety Accountable and self-motivated to continuously develop and improve skills Written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers Must be willing to work overtime and call-outs Able to work independently, and handle physically demanding tasks (lifting up to 50 lbs).

Pay: From $75,000.00 per year
