Job Overview

Sentara RMH Medical Center

is hiring an Electrophysiology Specialist for the EP Lab. This is a Full Time, Day shift in Harrisonburg, VA! Three 12-hour shifts. This roll will be at the new opening in November 2026 but will train in the main hospital lab.


Hours of the department will be 7a to 730P Monday - Friday.

NO Weekends, No Call!

The Electrophysiology (EP) Specialist assists the physician during diagnostic and therapeutic electrophysiology procedures and device implants. Provides patient care to all electrophysiology patients, including acquisition and reduction of all pertinent information related to their procedure. Also provides didactic and clinical training.


Smaller bedside procedures are completed bedside within this area (TEE Procedures for example) The echocardiography lab is considered high volume with close to 9,500 procedures performed annually. The lab works closely with our invasive cardiology (structural heart, electrophysiology, diagnostic/interventional cath) and cardiothoracic surgery services.

Education

Trade School Graduate or Bachelor Degree preferred High School Diploma or Equivalent required.

Certification/Licensure

BLS required ACLS within 90 days of hire Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist, Registered Cardio Invasive Specialist or registry eligible required. (RCIS or RCES)

Experience

1 year of experience preferred Invasive procedure experience EP lab experience preferred Implanted Device Experience Preferred
