Position Overview


We are seeking an experienced

Electro-Mechanical Technician

to join our manufacturing team in Hartford, CT. In this role, you will install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair both electrical and mechanical systems on production equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with electrical circuits, automation systems, and mechanical components, ensuring reliable equipment performance and minimal downtime.

Key Responsibilities



Install, maintain, and repair electrical and mechanical components of production and automation equipment. Diagnose and resolve issues involving hydraulic, pneumatic, and robotic systems. Perform preventive maintenance to improve reliability, reduce downtime, and ensure safety compliance. Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams for troubleshooting and repair work. Test, calibrate, and verify equipment performance to meet operational standards. Operate, troubleshoot, and support programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and related automation systems. Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance, repair, and service activities. Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to enhance manufacturing processes and system performance. Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout protocols, and company policies.

Qualifications



Associate degree or technical certification in Electro-Mechanical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field. Proven experience as an electro-mechanical technician in a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of electrical circuits, motors, control systems, and mechanical components. Skilled in the use of diagnostic instruments, hand tools, and power tools. Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams, schematics, and repair documentation. Experience with PLCs, automation systems, and robotics preferred. Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills with strong attention to detail. Physically capable of lifting heavy components and working in industrial environments. Flexibility to work overtime or weekends as required.

Preferred Qualifications



Certification in Industrial Maintenance or a related discipline. Familiarity with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles. Knowledge of CNC machinery and industrial automation systems. Welding and fabrication experience a plus.

Work Environment



Manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) required. Some tasks may involve working at heights or in confined spaces.

Pay: $30.00 - $36.00 per hour
