Electro Mechanical Reliability Technician

Kalamazoo, MI, United States

Job Description

A day in this role
Start your shift on the production floor, shoulder-to-shoulder with Work Group Leaders, Process and Maintenance Technicians, and Set-up Technicians. You'll bring a line up from a full changeover, dialing in the lip roller and bagger so a new product runs flawlessly. Using schematics, manuals, and drawings, you'll zero in on electro-mechanical issues, run quick R&D trials on the shop floor or in the Tech Center, and walk storyboards to uncover repeatable failures and build action plans. Throughout the day you'll capture updates in SAP and RTC within Pactiv, coordinate spare parts with precise nomenclature, and keep the area safe and clean. When the phone rings after hours, your 24/7 on-call support helps the team get back to target.

  • Apply general machine shop knowledge; safely utilize hand tools and basic machine tools.
  • Lead by example--guide co-workers, assign tasks, and uphold established maintenance procedures and records.
  • Use SAP and RTC within Pactiv for work execution and data accuracy.
