Overview


We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Electrical Superintendent to oversee Federal/Military construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a thorough understanding of construction processes, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires effective communication with various stakeholders, including contractors, clients, and team members.

Responsibilities



Supervise and manage daily construction activities on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and company policies.. Review and interpret blueprints and project specifications to ensure accurate implementation of designs. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality and adherence to safety standards, including EM 385 and OSHA regulations. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and services. Prepare reports on project status, including daily reports, updates on timelines, budgets, and any issues that arise during construction. Implement effective problem-solving strategies to address challenges that may impact project delivery. Train and mentor junior staff in best practices for construction management.

Skills



Minimum of five years experience as an electrical superintendent on Federal/Military projects with such agencies as the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Department of the Air Force, Departtment of the Navy, Department of the Air Force and NASA. Previous experience as an electrical superintendent supervising and managing electrical projects in excess of $1 Million. Must possess an OSHA 30 Certification or a 40 hour EM 385-1-1 Certification. Proven experience in supervising electrical construction projects with a strong understanding of the construction process. Strong skills in blueprint reading to accurately interpret plans and specifications. Knowledge of safety regulations, particularly OSHA standards, to maintain a safe working environment. Ability to use tools such as an ohmmeter for electrical work when necessary. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members, clients, and stakeholders.
