Position Overview
The Service Manager Electrician is a hands-on leadership role designed for an experienced electrician ready to take the next step in their career.
This position combines field expertise with team leadership -- you'll work alongside our service technicians while also guiding, mentoring, and developing them to deliver the high standards Perry Electrical is known for.
You'll collaborate closely with our Customer Service Representatives (CSRs) to ensure jobs are scheduled efficiently, completed on time, and exceed customer expectations. You'll also help build the future of our service department by contributing to compensation plans, training programs, and service standards.
Responsibilities
Perform and oversee electrical service work for commercial and residential clients.
Lead, coach, and mentor a team of service electricians and apprentices.
Coordinate with CSRs to ensure seamless scheduling, dispatch, and communication.
Train technicians on technical skills, safety, and customer service.
Assist with estimating, quoting, and reviewing service jobs.
Monitor work quality, efficiency, and adherence to Perry Electrical's standards of excellence.
Contribute to building compensation, commission, and performance incentive plans.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-first work environment.
Communicate clearly and effectively with clients, team members, and leadership.
Qualifications
Valid Journeyman or Master Electrician License (Kansas).
8+ years of electrical experience, with at least 3+ years in service work preferred.
Proven leadership ability -- experience mentoring or training others is a plus.
Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and customer service skills.
Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
A self-starter who thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $42.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
