Assist customers in selecting appropriate electrical products, including wiring, lighting fixtures, circuit breakers, tools, and accessories. Demonstrate product features through hands-on demos or detailed explanations to help customers make informed decisions. Provide expert advice on electrical safety, installation tips, and compatibility to ensure customer satisfaction and safety. Upsell complementary products and accessories to maximize sales opportunities while meeting customer needs. Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system efficiently for transactions, including cash handling and processing payments accurately. Stock shelves, organize displays, and ensure merchandise is well-presented to attract customer attention. Manage inventory levels through merchandising and stocking activities to maintain an organized shopping environment. Maintain excellent phone etiquette when assisting customers via phone inquiries or order placements. Support store operations by supervising team members during busy periods and assisting with training new staff when needed. Conduct product demos for customers interested in electrical tools or appliances to showcase features and benefits effectively. Handle customer inquiries professionally, providing clear communication about product availability, pricing, and promotions.

Skills

Proven experience in retail sales with a focus on electrical or hardware products preferred. Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly and confidently. Bilingual abilities are a plus to serve a diverse customer base effectively. Demonstrated proficiency with POS systems, cash handling, and basic retail math for accurate transactions. Experience in supervising or leading team members is advantageous for supporting store operations. Knowledge of merchandising techniques to create attractive displays that promote sales of electrical products. Ability to perform product demos confidently to educate customers about features and benefits. Excellent phone etiquette for professional customer interactions over the phone or via email inquiries. Familiarity with grocery store or retail environments is beneficial for understanding fast-paced sales floors. Strong customer service orientation with a positive attitude and problem-solving mindset.
