TITLE:

Electrical Project Engineer

DUTIES:

Provide functional leadership in the initiation of design, development, and optimization of manufacturing equipment and processes. Provide engineering support and capital estimations to cross-functional teams. Lead Design Safety Reviews for major projects. Develop, apply and optimize machine control systems and software to analyze production, improve equipment performance and ensure product quality. Assist in the development of scopes of work for Technical Service Providers specifying design requirements, deliverables, processes and procedures, timeline and verification requirements. Review electrical documentation and specifications. Lead turn-over meetings and teleconferences working across functions and plant locations. Protect technologies and products through appropriate use of patents, trade secrets, and other intellectual property. Engage and communicate with vendors and suppliers. Visibly demonstrate that safety is a value by following safety procedures, maintaining a safe workplace and complying with safety rules. Work with design software, including CAD. Utilize project management tools, including MS Project. Utilize drive and motor control technologies. Work with Machine safety systems and process controls. Use registration and inspection systems, operator interface and software design, and communications architecture. Adhere to international design standards.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related; and 5 years of experience in the job offered or a related engineering occupation in the hygienic, packaging or food industry. Must include 5 years of experience in each of the following: Working with design software, including CAD; Utilizing project management tools, including MS Project; Utilizing drive and motor control technologies; Working with Machine safety systems and process controls; Using registration and inspection systems, operator interface and software design, and communications architecture; and Adhering to international design standards.
