Job Purpose:

The Electrical Panel Designer is responsible for the design of the electrical control panels in collaboration with the electrical engineering team. Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures pertaining to industrial electrical panel layout and design.

You Have:

• Experience in industrial control panel design
• Familiarity with Industrial Controls
• Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
• Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines
• Understanding of UL508A and NFPA 79
• Excellent documentation, written and oral communication skills
• Able to work independently or in a team environment
• Problem Solving skills required
• Ability to interface with panel shop technicians and provide shop support as needed

Electrical Panel Designer Duties:

• Create 2D panel layout drawings meeting engineering and customer requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and bill of materials.
• Ability to clearly communicate, through the design, production requirements and details that are pertinent to the panel shop.
• Understand panel shop techniques, and field installation requirements.
• Reference and interpret vendor components cutsheets.
