Position Overview
The
Electrical Lead Inspector (QA/QC)
is a senior field leadership role within Halo's quality service delivery team. This position provides technical oversight, inspection team leadership, and quality program implementation support for electrical construction activities.
The Lead Inspector serves as a key link between field inspectors, contractors, and QC management, ensuring inspections are executed consistently, issues are resolved efficiently, and project quality objectives are met.
Key Responsibilities
Inspection Team Leadership
Review all inspection reports for accuracy, completeness, and professionalism
Provide coaching, mentoring, and technical guidance to inspectors
Support inspector performance, consistency, and adherence to QC processes
QC Program Implementation
Develop and maintain project-specific Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs)
Create inspection checklists, procedures, and quality control forms
Ensure inspections are performed in accordance with approved QC plans
Coordinate with QC Manager and QC Foreman to implement company quality standards
Drive continuous improvement in inspection processes and documentation
Advanced Technical Oversight
Perform critical inspections on complex or high-risk electrical systems
Provide technical guidance on difficult installations and non-conformances
Interpret code requirements and support resolution of technical disputes
Review contractor quality control submittals and test procedures
Participate in design reviews and constructability assessments as required
Deficiency Management
Review all non-conformance reports (NCRs)
Track punch list items, deficiencies, and corrective actions through closure
Coordinate with contractors on resolution methods and timelines
Escalate unresolved or high-risk issues to QC Manager or QC Foreman
Verify effectiveness of corrective actions through re-inspection
Stakeholder Coordination
Attend project coordination meetings and represent the QC team
Interface with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Commissioning Agents
Coordinate inspection activities with subcontractor schedules
Facilitate communication between field teams and engineering
Support client walk-throughs and address quality concerns
Reporting & Metrics
Generate weekly QC status reports, including inspection completion rates
Track and report quality metrics such as deficiency rates and inspection coverage
Maintain the master punch list and provide regular status updates
Report critical quality issues to project leadership immediately
Prepare documentation for project review and coordination meetings
Commissioning & Turnover Support
Ensure inspection documentation is complete and ready for commissioning activities
Coordinate QC activities with commissioning schedules
Support turnover package preparation with complete and accurate QC records
Participate in substantial completion and final completion walk-throughs
Teamwork & Culture
Maintain extreme transparency in communication and reporting
Support total cross-team collaboration across quality, construction, and commissioning
Lead by example in professionalism, accountability, and teamwork
Required Experience & Qualifications
3-5 years
of electrical inspection experience
Journeyman Electrician License - Nevada preferred
OSHA 30 prior to site arrival
NFPA 70E certification required (may be completed upon site arrival).
Working knowledge of electrical systems and installation practices
Ability to read and interpret drawings and technical specifications
Strong attention to detail with a field-focused mindset
Comfortable documenting findings clearly and professionally
Reliable, accountable, and able to work independently
