Ron D Electrical LLC is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in construction estimating and project management, with the ability to analyze project specifications and develop accurate cost estimates. This role requires a keen understanding of construction processes, contracts, and pricing strategies, as well as the ability to effectively negotiate with vendors and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates for construction projects. Utilize software tools such as Bluebeam and Heavy Bid to create detailed estimates and manage project data. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to ensure accurate cost control throughout the project lifecycle. Conduct site visits to assess conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimating. Prepare bid proposals and present findings to stakeholders, ensuring clarity in pricing and scope of work. Negotiate contracts with subcontractors and suppliers to secure favorable terms for the company. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials prices, and construction techniques to enhance estimating accuracy.

Skills

Proficiency in Bluebeam and Heavy Bid software for estimating purposes. Strong negotiation skills with experience in managing contracts effectively. In-depth knowledge of NEC codes and standards related to electrical work. Solid background in construction estimating with a focus on cost control measures. Familiarity with pricing strategies within the construction industry. Electrical experience is highly desirable along with hands-on construction site experience. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration within teams and presentations to clients.
