We are seeking a motivated and adaptable Electrical Engineering Intern to join our team supporting the research, design, and development of advanced hypersonic air-breathing propulsion systems. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced engineers to develop and test next-generation avionics systems, gaining hands-on exposure to high-performance electrical design, testing, and system integration in a fast-paced R&D environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the design, prototyping, testing, and integration of advanced avionics systems for high-speed flight applications
Participate in the design-to-manufacture workflow, ensuring engineering accuracy, documentation quality, and manufacturability
Assist with the development and execution of electrical test plans, including environmental testing such as vibration, shock, thermal, burn-in, and thermal vacuum
Collaborate on troubleshooting efforts to identify sources of test failures or non-conformance across hardware, software, and measurement systems
Contribute to metrology and measurement analysis, including identifying error sources and performing uncertainty evaluations
Support the design and maintenance of in-house testing solutions and data acquisition systems used throughout avionics development
Participate in hardware and software validation, circuit analysis, and the creation of functional test documentation
Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize testing, documentation, and production processes

Qualifications:
Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Minimum of 0-1 years of electrical engineering experience
Familiarity with electrical schematics, circuit design, and test equipment
Experience or coursework in embedded systems, C programming, or LabVIEW development is desirable
Strong understanding of measurement techniques and an interest in metrology and test automation
Exposure to or interest in high-speed and analog circuit design such as ADCs, DACs, filters, DAQs, PLLs, and DLLs
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across a multidisciplinary team
Ability to work hands-on in a dynamic, fast-paced R&D environment and learn from senior engineers
Eligible for U.S. security clearance (U.S. citizenship required)
