About the Role
:
Client is a small but growing multi-discipline engineering firm seeking a hands-on Licensed Engineer (P.E.)--Electrical or Mechanical--to join our expanding MEP team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being technically involved, not just managing projects, and who thrives in a versatile, roll-up-your-sleeves environment.
If your background is Mechanical Engineering, HVAC design experience is required. If you are an Electrical Engineer, you must have strong electrical design experience. Key Responsibilities:
Lead design and engineering of electrical and/or HVAC systems for commercial and industrial projects.
Perform detailed calculations such as load analysis, short-circuit/fault studies, and HVAC system sizing.
Create and review single-line diagrams, schematics, and mechanical/electrical layouts.
Conduct site inspections, submittal reviews, and provide commissioning and start-up support.
Coordinate closely with civil, structural, and other MEP disciplines for full project integration.
Mentor junior engineers and ensure quality control of design deliverables.
Work directly with clients, contractors, and vendors to meet project schedules and requirements.
Required Qualifications:
Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) license in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
Minimum 5 years of total engineering experience, including at least 1 year as a licensed P.E.
