In this Electrical Engineering position you will develop, plan, organize and manage capital, reliability and process improvement projects throughout the plant. You will also provide maintenance troubleshooting and operations support as needed.
Project Management:
Full-scope project management responsibility for capital projects within the plant.
Design Engineering:
Initiate and implement new designs and upgrades to electrical systems including: electrical control systems, electrical drive systems, programming development, plant utilities, cranes, and mill process equipment.
Maintenance Support:
Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs and procedures. Coordinate and support electrical safety initiatives. Provide technical support during equipment outages. Evaluate reliability improvement options.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BSEE and 3-5 years of previous electrical engineering experience in a heavy industrial plant. Preferred experience in Pulp & Paper or continuous web manufacturing. Experience with AutoCAD, Wonderware, SQL and Visual Basic project scheduling, and specification writing. Knowledge of electrical design, digital and analog drives, PLC and distributed control systems, National Electrical Code, AC & DC motors to 800 HP, power/control theory and application, and instrumentation.
Initial Assignments
Not listed in order with respect to priority. Guidance on priority will be given based on plant performance and process needs. Progress report to be submitted monthly summarizing each area.
Provide engineering and management for upgrade of main plant power distribution to improve electrical safety.
Review of plant electrical usage and demand levels to recommend changes to operation and control guidelines necessary to reduce electrical demand and usage.
Evaluate electrical supply and distribution system to identify weaknesses and opportunities for efficiency gains and improved electrical safety.
Develop and manage the plant process control systems.
Review process equipment and recommend changes necessary to improve reliability and operating safety. Specific Plan for capital projects electrical support
