Job Title : Electrical Engineer 5

Summary: The main function of an electrical engineer is to design, develop, test or supervise the manufacturing and installation of electrical equipment, components, or systems for commercial, industrial, military or scientific use. A typical electrical engineer has the ability to make engineering drawings, and read and interpret blueprints.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Supervise the design, development, and testing of the manufacture of electrical equipment, including machinery controls, wiring, and lighting.
  • Review and approve the cost effectiveness, reliability and safety of certain design models. \xe2\x80\xa2 Discuss estimates for time and cost to complete projects with clients.
  • Supervise the simulation and testing of machine/structure/system operation and monitor product quality.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.

  • Previous experience with computer applications and design software related to engineering field.
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in engineering required.
  • 10+ years experience required.
Education & Experience Required:
- BS Electrical, Computer, or Electronics or equivalent degree
- 10+ years\' relevant experience
- Relevant Master\'s or above projects/internships will be considered toward experience requirement but durations for each must be listed on
resume
- Alternate job titles that would align: hardware engineer, electronics engineer, etc (as long as not strictly within manufacturing environment.

Automotive field would have similar skillsets.
Technical Skills
(Required)
- Experience with complex electronic components like electronic control units (ECU)
(Desired)
- Experience with chip level circuit analysis including electronic control units including ICs like microprocessors
- Experience with New Product Introduction (NPI), Advance Product
Quality Planning (APQP)
- Experience with electronics validation including thermal, vibration, reliability and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) testing as well as safety and regulatory compliance

Soft Skills
(Required)
- Must have ability to communicate technical information effectively with team members and others in the work group, as well as employees in other units, customers, and suppliers
- Demonstrated ability to determine and meet project objectives and timelines.
- Collaborating with suppliers to support the development and production of prototype and production hardware
