Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive
Commercial Electrical Dispatcher
to support our growing service and small projects teams. This role is critical to ensure efficient scheduling, clear communication, and seamless coordination between customers, electricians, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. We are open to candidates with varying levels of dispatch or coordination experience within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
Scheduling & Dispatch
Receive, schedule, and dispatch commercial electrical service calls
Coordinate electricians and service technicians to job sites efficiently
Monitor and adjust schedules to accommodate urgent service needs and changing priorities
Confirm next-day appointments with customers to ensure site readiness
Maintain accurate service schedules, follow-ups, and job records
Coordinate material deliveries for quoted and approved electrical jobs
Support fleet coordination by tracking service vehicle assignments, availability, and maintenance-related downtime to ensure efficient daily dispatch operations.
Communication & Administrative Support
Maintain consistent communication with electricians regarding job details, scope, and updates
Monitor and respond to service request emails
Assist with the main phone line following established call-flow procedures
Assist with service billing and invoicing by reviewing completed work orders for accuracy, completeness, and required documentation prior to submission.
Follow up on outstanding quotes and assist with customer approvals
Request pricing approvals for work orders issued by property management groups
Ensure all work orders are accurately documented and processed
Communicate with suppliers to track orders and resolve discrepancies
Systems & Documentation
Enter service calls notes and other details into
Build Ops
Ensure job and quote templates contain accurate, up-to-date information
Maintain organized and detailed records for electrical service and small projects
Track and document fleet-related information such as inspections, service intervals, and maintenance updates in accordance with company and safety requirements.
Qualifications
Previous dispatch experience is helpful but not required; strong organizational skills, communication, and a willingness to learn are key to success in this role.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with dispatch and scheduling software, a plus
Ability to remain calm and effective under pressure
Familiarity with electrical terminology, service workflows, and jobsite coordination is a plus
Compensation & Benefits
Salary:
$45,000 - $60,000 (based on experience)
