Job Summary:
Shambaugh & Son L.P. is seeking an Designer for our Electrical Division. In this role you will be responsible for design responsibilities for Design/Build construction projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Design electrical systems with AutoCAD and Revit, based on established standards for products, components, and applications
Assist Electrical Engineers with electrical design, Building Information Modeling (BIM), and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC)
Assist with department representatives, architects, engineers, and consultants to establish project requirements, and specifications
Assist with the development and approval of engineering construction drawings
Assist with preparation of project documentation
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Associate or bachelor's degree in Design, Engineering, Construction Technology, or equivalent education and experience
Experience working for a contractor on electrical systems design or in the field is a plus
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Small amount of travel is expected with this position as required for project design and execution
Computer literate with MS Office product offerings including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit and Navisworks is a plus
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, in both written and oral work

Valid driver's license and good driving record
Regular and reliable attendance, including the ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
