WSG Energy Services is seeking an Electrical Commissioning Technician to support field-level pre-commissioning and commissioning activities for an urgent 40MW temporary power project in Texas, with anticipated transition into a larger 200MW power generation project.

The Electrical Commissioning Technician is responsible for the safe execution of electrical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities in the field. This role supports energization, system verification, and start-up of temporary and permanent power systems and reports to the Electrical Commissioning Lead or Supervisor.



Key Responsibilities

Safety & Compliance

Participate in all site safety programs, meetings, and hazard assessments Ensure permits, FLHAs, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) requirements are followed

Commissioning Execution

Support energization of E-houses and electrical systems Perform motor runs, VFD programming support, interlock testing, and troubleshooting Execute static and dynamic commissioning activities Complete walkdowns, punch lists, and field verification

Documentation & Support

Complete commissioning check sheets and turnover documentation Support PSSR activities and system readiness reviews Assist vendors and commissioning leads during start-up

Temporary Power & Field Support

Support installation and operation of temporary power systems Assist with winterization, EHT support, and equipment preservation

Qualifications & Experience

Electrical Journeyman ticket or equivalent 2+ years of experience in commissioning or completions environments Experience with power generation or industrial electrical systems preferred Strong safety awareness and teamwork skills
