The Opportunity

This position works out of our Plano, TX location in the Neuromodular division.

Our Neuromodulation business includes implantable devices compatible with mobile technology to help people who suffer from chronic pain and movement disorders. These non-opioid therapies allow us to provide interventional pain therapy to patients throughout the pain continuum.

The Electrical & Automation Engineer II provides engineering support to new and existing products, processes, prototypes, fixtures, and tools. Designs and develops new hardware platforms, along with the software and test hardware to evaluate and characterize the design. Applies engineering and scientific principles to the evaluation and solution of technical problems.

What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Work On
  • Uses multidisciplinary engineering knowledge to design and develop products. Investigates and resolves problems involving equipment and systems.
  • Develops and utilizes hardware and software interfaces to automate design evaluation and verify functionality.
  • Performs circuit schematic design and layout, and constructs a variety of prototype tools and fixtures required for development purposes. Conducts evaluations, test, and analyses related to feasibility and function.
  • Performs troubleshooting and fault isolation activities, and remains abreast of and consults on technical advancements. Collaborates with cross-functional teams developing and executing tests, performing root cause analysis, and participating in investigations.
  • Exercises technical judgement in planning, organizing, performing, coordinating and/or directing engineering work. Performs engineering studies. Conducts measurements specified in design verification plans, documents, and tabulates results, and provides reports.
  • Documents custom tools with specifications, schematics, and mechanical layouts to support document control and tool release.
  • Applies theoretical principles, evaluation, ingenuity, and creative / analytical techniques within engineering and scientific principles. Helps establish processes based on product specifications and evaluates process and design alternatives based on Design for Manufacturability.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in electrical engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience, both overall and any industry-specific experience needed.
