Electrical Assemblers build, wire, and test electromechanical products and sub?assemblies that meet our safety, quality, and delivery standards. You'll read schematics and wiring diagrams, assemble harnesses and panels, perform point?to?point wiring, and execute functional tests--partnering closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering to resolve issues quickly and continuously improve.
At TNA we operate by our
4 Pillars
:
People:
We learn, share, and own outcomes.
Performance:
We hit plan and improve the plan.
Product:
We build it right, first time.
Process:
We standardize, measure, and iterate.
Key outcomes (first 90 days)
Complete safety onboarding and demonstrate
100% compliance
with LOTO, ESD, PPE, and electrical safety procedures.
Assemble and wire at least
two core product families
to standard work, achieving
FPY ? 98%
and meeting takt time.
Pass qualification on
IPC?A?610
visual inspection and
J?STD?001
soldering criteria (company course or prior certification).
Identify
? 3
improvement opportunities (quality, ergonomics, or flow) and submit them through our Kaizen process.
Responsibilities
Assembly & Wiring
Build electrical panels, junction boxes, cable harnesses, and control assemblies using cut/strip/crimp/termination tools (ring/spade/ferrule, D?subs, circular connectors).
Perform
point?to?point wiring
per schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOM/routing instructions; label conductors per standard.
Execute soldering (through?hole and occasional SMT rework) to workmanship standards.
Quality & Testing
Perform continuity, polarity, hipot/insulation resistance (where applicable), and functional checks with DMMs and test fixtures.
Conduct incoming inspection of electrical components; quarantine non?conforming parts and raise
NCR/CAR
where required.
Document results in the traveler/Shop Floor system; ensure traceability (lots/serials) on harnesses and panels.
Safety & Compliance
Follow electrical safety,
ESD
handling,
LOTO
, and PPE rules; maintain 5S in work area.
Adhere to standard work, workmanship specifications, and applicable codes; propose improvements via our Kaizen framework.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
Work with Engineering on
ECO
changes; red?line drawings and give structured feedback (fit/form/function).
Support root?cause analysis (5?Why/Fishbone) for defects; implement corrective actions in process.
Qualifications
Required
2+ years in electrical/electromechanical assembly, wiring, or panel build--or a technical certificate/apprenticeship in related field.
Ability to read
schematics
, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings; interpret BOMs and routings.
Proficiency with wire prep (cut/strip/crimp), cable lacing/looming, ferrule application, and torque specs; comfortable with DMM use.
Experience with
IPC?A?610
(visual acceptance) and
J?STD?001
(soldering) standards (company will train/certify if needed).
Basic computer literacy (Shop Floor tablets/Odoo, travelers, work instructions, non?conformance logging).
Preferred
Panel shop experience (industrial controls, PLC I/O, motor starters, VFDs, relays, terminal blocks, DIN rail layout).
Familiarity with
Hand tools (drivers, nut runners, torque tools), wire strippers, crimpers, ferrule presses, heat guns, label printers.
DMMs, continuity testers, hipot/IR testers (as applicable), test fixtures.
Shop Floor tablets and barcode scanners (for work orders, traceability, and checklists).
Physical & work environment
Stand/walk for extended periods; lift/push/pull up to
35 lbs
(team?lift above that).
Fine motor tasks in seated or standing positions; occasional overhead or under?bench wiring.
Work in clean manufacturing environment with moderate noise; PPE and
ESD
controls required.
Benefits & growth
Competitive pay, health benefits, 401(k), PTO.
Certification pathways (
IPC/J?STD
, torque & calibration) and cross?training (mechanical build, test).
Clear progression to
Lead Assembler
or
Panel Shop Technician
, with exposure to Quality/Manufacturing Engineering.
