About the role



Electrical Assemblers build, wire, and test electromechanical products and sub?assemblies that meet our safety, quality, and delivery standards. You'll read schematics and wiring diagrams, assemble harnesses and panels, perform point?to?point wiring, and execute functional tests--partnering closely with Production, Quality, and Engineering to resolve issues quickly and continuously improve.

Complete safety onboarding and demonstrate

with LOTO, ESD, PPE, and electrical safety procedures. Assemble and wire at least

two core product families

Responsibilities



Assembly & Wiring

Build electrical panels, junction boxes, cable harnesses, and control assemblies using cut/strip/crimp/termination tools (ring/spade/ferrule, D?subs, circular connectors). Perform

point?to?point wiring

per schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOM/routing instructions; label conductors per standard. Execute soldering (through?hole and occasional SMT rework) to workmanship standards.

Quality & Testing

Perform continuity, polarity, hipot/insulation resistance (where applicable), and functional checks with DMMs and test fixtures. Conduct incoming inspection of electrical components; quarantine non?conforming parts and raise

NCR/CAR

where required. Document results in the traveler/Shop Floor system; ensure traceability (lots/serials) on harnesses and panels.

Safety & Compliance

Follow electrical safety,

ESD

handling,

LOTO

, and PPE rules; maintain 5S in work area. Adhere to standard work, workmanship specifications, and applicable codes; propose improvements via our Kaizen framework.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement

Work with Engineering on

ECO

changes; red?line drawings and give structured feedback (fit/form/function). Support root?cause analysis (5?Why/Fishbone) for defects; implement corrective actions in process.

Qualifications



Required



2+ years in electrical/electromechanical assembly, wiring, or panel build--or a technical certificate/apprenticeship in related field. Ability to read

schematics

, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings; interpret BOMs and routings. Proficiency with wire prep (cut/strip/crimp), cable lacing/looming, ferrule application, and torque specs; comfortable with DMM use. Experience with

IPC?A?610

(visual acceptance) and

J?STD?001

(soldering) standards (company will train/certify if needed). Basic computer literacy (Shop Floor tablets/Odoo, travelers, work instructions, non?conformance logging).

Preferred



Panel shop experience (industrial controls, PLC I/O, motor starters, VFDs, relays, terminal blocks, DIN rail layout). Familiarity with

UL 508A

panel construction, cable shielding/grounding best practices, and E?stop/safety relay wiring. ERP/MES exposure (Odoo, SAP, Oracle, Plex, etc.). Soldering certification; crimp tool calibration knowledge; lean manufacturing exposure.

Tools & equipment you'll use



Hand tools (drivers, nut runners, torque tools), wire strippers, crimpers, ferrule presses, heat guns, label printers. DMMs, continuity testers, hipot/IR testers (as applicable), test fixtures. Shop Floor tablets and barcode scanners (for work orders, traceability, and checklists).

Physical & work environment



Stand/walk for extended periods; lift/push/pull up to

35 lbs

(team?lift above that). Fine motor tasks in seated or standing positions; occasional overhead or under?bench wiring. Work in clean manufacturing environment with moderate noise; PPE and

ESD

controls required.
