Overview

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical systems within construction and industrial environments. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills under the guidance of experienced electricians. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in electrical work, a solid understanding of safety protocols, and the ability to work effectively on construction sites. This paid position is designed to prepare apprentices for a successful career in electrical trades, with exposure to both low and high voltage systems, blueprint reading, schematics, and the use of various hand and power tools.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities. Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to understand wiring layouts and system configurations. Use hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, and measuring devices to perform installation tasks. Operate power tools safely for cutting, drilling, and assembling electrical components. Work with low voltage and high voltage systems in accordance with NEC standards and safety regulations. Conduct basic testing using tools like ohmmeters to troubleshoot electrical circuits. Support the setup of electrical infrastructure including conduit installation, wiring, and fixture mounting. Follow all safety protocols related to construction site work, including proper use of personal protective equipment.

Qualifications

Prior experience or familiarity with industrial or commercial electrician work is preferred but not required. Experience with hand tools, power tools, schematics reading, blueprint interpretation, and basic electrical troubleshooting is highly desirable. Knowledge of low voltage and high voltage systems as well as NEC standards is a plus. Construction site experience or related fieldwork background is advantageous. Ability to read schematics and technical drawings accurately. Basic understanding of frame carpentry or construction framing is beneficial. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety practices on job sites. Must be able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in physically demanding environments. Pay: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour
