Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated Electrical Apprentice to join our team and gain hands-on experience in electrical systems within construction and industrial environments. This entry-level position offers the opportunity to develop essential skills under the supervision of licensed electricians, working on a variety of projects including commercial, industrial, and high-voltage installations. The ideal candidate is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and committed to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

Assist licensed electricians in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems on construction sites and industrial facilities. Learn to interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical wiring and systems. Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as ohmmeters to perform electrical tasks safely and accurately. Support the installation of low voltage and high voltage wiring in accordance with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards. Help with the assembly of electrical components, conduit bending, and framing carpentry as needed for electrical infrastructure. Follow safety protocols diligently, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA regulations. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring tools and materials are properly stored after use.

Skills

Basic understanding of electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage applications. Experience with hand tools, power tools, and testing instruments such as ohmmeters. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately. Familiarity with NEC standards and electrical codes relevant to commercial and industrial projects. Construction site experience is preferred, demonstrating comfort working in dynamic environments. Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and framing carpentry is advantageous. Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety practices at all times. Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn from experienced professionals.
