TITLE: eLearning Developer I

Location: Chicago

Compensation Range: $60,000 to $70,000

As the eLeaning Developer I, you will provide analysis, develop, and support innovative instructional solutions to meet a variety of educational needs using appropriate state of the art technology, grounded in sound educational theory and instructional design. You will work independently to develop and implement technology-based solutions (web authoring tools, video and digital image editing) based on instructional design principles and practices.

What You ll Do:

• Develops academic courses and learning modules using course management software and eLearning technologies.
• Modifies and enhances existing courses and course design using current and emerging technologies, industry standards and best practices.
• Assists the design and development teams during the course planning process to develop and implement the High-Level Design Document (HLDD).
• Builds and maintains modes of assessment, such as quizzes or tests, to measure course effectiveness.
• Designs and develops visual assets to enhance the eLearning experience.
• Identifies and analyzes potential application of updates and new technologies related to authoring tools and asset development.

Skills / Experience You Will Need:

• Bachelor s degree in a related technical field, or equivalent combination of relevant training and expertise.
• Experience in an area of eLearning technology implementation.
• Experience working with course authoring tools (Articulate Suite, Rise, Storyline) and Learning Management Systems (LMS); Canvas preferred.
• Ability to create visual assets using graphic and video design tools (Adobe Suite, Camtasia, Vyond).
• Must have an online portfolio showcasing past, current, or mock projects related to instructional design.
• Strong technical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Windows-general; E-email-intermediate/advanced; Excel-general; Word fundamentals; Graphics software-intermediate; SharePoint-general, preferred.
