General Purpose and Scope of Position:

EHSS believes in a balanced approach to service excellence. We operate with integrity and heart to protect our people, property, and communities. The EHSS Regional Support Manger is responsible for facilities in a region and providing them EHSS-related support and guidance. This role works in conjunction with the EHSS team and other support departments to promote and deliver safety and operational expertise to facilities.

Key Skills and Abilities Include:

  • 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 EHSS work experience required 10 years preferred.
  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or advanced degree in Engineering, Safety, Environmental Sciences, or another related field
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing preferred; proficiency in 5S a plus
  • Substantive experience evaluating and controlling hazard risk
  • Experience in process safety management and transportation of chemicals
  • Demonstrated capacity to facilitate training, process development, and problem solving
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities effectively
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams with minimal guidance in a fast-paced environment
  • Working knowledge of various recognized safety and environmental management systems
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite programs and other database tools
  • Significant travel required \xe2\x80\x93 up to 65%

Specific Responsibilities and Key Deliverables Include:
  • Identify, investigate, report, and effectively communicate critical EHSS issues
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance on the principals, processes and tools of EHSS
  • Conduct risk assessments
  • Recognize hazards in systems, equipment, products, facilities, and/or operations
  • Stay current with technological developments, regulations, products, and practices related to hazard controls
  • Implement techniques to evaluate hazard control and hazard control program effectiveness
  • Develop, propose, provide recommendations and controls to reduce or eliminate hazards and other causes of exposures, accidents, or losses
  • Base those recommendations and controls on an analysis of accident exposure, losses, and other data
  • Assess the probability and severity of losses and accidents that may result from hazards
  • Integrate EHSS into daily operations processes
  • Provide compliance advice re: OSHA, EPA, and other safety, health, and environmental laws and standards
  • Interface with regulatory agencies on compliance issues
  • Provide technical guidance and solutions to safety and environmental issues
  • Direct and execute emergency response efforts
  • Work with DOT manager to implement clear operational guidance on DOT issues
  • Work with local resources to coordinate third party facility inspections and evaluations
  • Develop and execute a support strategy aligned with risk level of operations
  • Report key performance indicators to senior management
  • Develop methods that integrate safety performance, business productivity, goals, and management team
  • Assist in planning and development of educational and training material
Compensation:
  • In compliance with all states and cities requiring transparency of pay, the base compensation for this position ranges from $83,700 to 117,230. Note that salary may vary based on location, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, company vehicle, vacation, holidays, health, dental, vision, mental health, retirement plans, and other benefits.
