3 - Third Shift
Are you the type of person who leads by doing? Do you like to tackle unique problems on a day-to-day basis that have a real impact on the safety and health of others? In this role you will assist in driving incidents down by implementing and sustaining a robust EHS management system, utilize proactive scorecards to impact change, perform audits, and implement programs to drive performance improvement. We\xe2\x80\x99re looking for someone who is independent, motivated, knowledgeable in risk identification and mitigation, prioritizes tasks well, and displays leadership skills.
What You\xe2\x80\x99ll Do
1. Assist in the implementation and sustainment of basic environmental, health and safety management system elements for a Vermeer manufacturing facility.
2. Partners with local resources to create and implement basic process improvements and enhance standard work practices.
3. Conducts general EHS audits to monitor performance and assists the operational team members in the development and implementation of action plans.
4. Advise team members in risk identification and mitigation strategies.
5 Investigates moderately complex incidents to identify root cause(s) and create appropriate countermeasures. What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For

  • Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Occupational Health and Safety; and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • OSHA 30-Hour or equivalent preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of relevant State and Federal rules and regulations required.
  • Prior manufacturing experience preferred.

Work Location
ONSITE: A team member\xe2\x80\x99s day-to-day work is best done on a Vermeer campus. If work content can be occasionally completed at an offsite location, discuss potential arrangements with your manager.
