Our Fort Recovery Feed & Animal Division in Mercer and Darke counties, in Ohio, produces and delivers feed while providing support to our contract farmers raising animals for production. Cooper Farms is currently seeking an Egg Transportation Manager to join our team in Fort Recovery.





The primary goal of this position is to coordinate all logistics within the egg division.

SHIFT HOURS:

This is a Monday through Friday salary role

STARTING RATE:

Commensurate with experience

ADDITIONAL PAY:

Monthly and year-end profit-sharing bonuses (dependent upon company performance)

Job Functions:

Negotiate freight rates with carriers/3PL's to keep rates at low as possible, while maintaining required service times Schedule outbound transportation with Cooper contracted carriers as well as our customers' carriers Monitor performance of these carriers for on-time pickup/delivery and to ensure transportation objectives are met Maintain a good working relationship with all carriers, customers, and 3PL's to fulfill both their needs and Coopers Communicate frequently with the processing and sales teams to ensure all transportation needs are coordinated efficiently and effectively Work collectively with the Egg Transportation Manager for Farm & local operations and provide backup as needed Schedule pickups & deliveries for egg division drivers and secure backhauls as needed. Follow and enforce all truck, trailer and material washing and sanitizing policies Oversee and enforce all ODOT related regulations and company policy regarding all CDL drivers Have a good understanding of Federal hours of service regulations and the ability to manage driver ELD's & related software Minimum requirement is a 2-year degree in logistics, supply chain management, or related field 3 years or more experience in transportation, customer service, and supervision/management is desired. Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and possess the ability to learn CAT2 & CAS Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal as well as strong customer service and negotiation skills Candidate will need to be detail-oriented, have good organizational skills, and be able to work well with others.
