Compensation:

• Starting pay rate from $15.15-$18.03/hour depending on experience

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Uses measurement instruments to check work.
• Makes adjustments & notifies Tooling of the need for more complex machine adjustments.
• Removes parts from the press.
• Assures parts are produced to quality specifications.
• Loads and removes inserts in the mold (\xe2\x80\x9cchange over\xe2\x80\x9d) and inspects parts.
• When necessary, will perform same duties as production employees & packers.
• Accurately read and operate machine\xe2\x80\x99s computer console.
• Responsible for the overall continuing manufacturing process.
• Responsible for properly packaging product into boxes w/ corresponding labels.
• When boxes are full of complete product, palletizes boxes.
• Set up and install mold bases, as needed.
• Assembles boxes and places boxes onto conveyor for packers.
• Housekeeping on a daily basis.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Prior experience working with thermoformers and / or the plastics industry is preferred. He / She must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

It is part of the Parkersburg-Marietta-Vienna, WV-OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 1,950 at the 2010 census.

The plant became a Pactiv facility in 2010 through acquisition and was formerly a PWP facility that started in Mineral Wells in 2003. The facility is part of the Food Merchandising Business Unit and manufactures clear and black APET product that supplies food packaging to Pactiv\'s retail customers. The employee population is approximately 200.
