Overview
The Agency of Education is seeking qualified candidates to serve a critical role on the Education Transition Team, supporting major legislative initiatives related to education policy and school district transformation. This position will lead and coordinate AOE supports for school and district curriculum integration, education quality standards compliance, and planning in alignment with state education transformation goals. In addition to leading activities related to internal operations and process building to support this work in the field, this position will drive significant field interaction and integrated district-level supports.
This position will be responsible for facilitation and engagement, analysis, and development of Agency technical supports for school and district curriculum implementation and integration. Priority areas of focus will include supporting districts with achieving compliance with, and planning for, various state and federal education quality standards including (but not limited to) State Board of Education (SBE) Rule Series 2000, EQS, AOE District Quality Standards, and federal resource allocation review (RAR).
This position works directly with district and Agency leadership to prioritize review and integration of major school district business processes and systems during periods of governance and policy transition. Unlike traditional project managers, this position is expected to have an in-depth understanding of state and federal requirements for Pre-K-grade 12 curriculum, and how to integrate systems and priorities to achieve proficiency in various education quality standards in alignment with state and Agency priorities for education.
This position will be responsible for independent facilitation and engagement, analysis, and development of Agency technical supports for school and district data operations.
