Job Description


The Early Learning Data Specialist is responsible for managing the Find Child Care Oregon (FCCO) database of early learning programs for our region. This position is also responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data for the Child Care Resource and Referral Program. They will transfer and integrate data as needed, be able to identify trends, and effectively communicate those findings to the program, using non-technical language and helpful visuals such as graphs and charts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • An Associate\'s Degree, plus two (2) years of hands-on work experience analyzing and interpreting various data sets. Must have experience working within various databases. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
  • Must have the ability to use equipment necessary to carry out job responsibilities including, but not limited to computer, virtual training software, cell phone/telephone, printers, and other office equipment.
  • Proficient with Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Google Workspace, and Zoom to communicate, collect, analyze, and display information.
  • Proficient with databases, spreadsheets, and statistical software for managing and manipulating data.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS
  • Registration with the Criminal History Registry of the Child Care
  • Driver qualification status is not required for this position.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES This Job description is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee will also perform other reasonably related business duties as assigned by their immediate supervisor and other management as required.
  • Coordinates and contacts educators to complete the new enrollments and quarterly/annual childcare updates to the Find Child Care Oregon (FCCO) statewide database.
  • Supports the CCR&R team with data reports and provider demographics for outreach, recruitment, and reporting.
  • Oversees the development of new databases and monitors database performance.
  • Integrates data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements.
  • Communicates data using graphs, charts, and other visuals that are easy for others to understand.
  • Consults with the Program Director or Manager on the implementation of policies and procedures that encourage and are sensitive to cultural diversity.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
