Role Description



Amore Learning is seeking a warm, creative, and experienced

Early Childhood Instructor

to lead a new in-school program for children ages infant-5 years at Learning Leaf Childcare Center. The instructor will design and facilitate engaging, inquiry-based workshops aligned to rotating themes and/or content areas, such as Exploring Color, What is a Scientist?, or Global Holidays. Lessons will focus on curiosity, exploration, and creativity while fostering early learning skills in science, art, and problem-solving.

This is a part-time teaching position beginning

October 21, 2025

, with sessions held 2-3 days weekly (Tues-Thurs). The hourly rate for this position is

$45-$85/hour,

with an expected workload of 6 hours per week.

Responsibilities



Plan and lead dynamic 30-45 minute workshops for toddlers, 2-year-olds, and PreK students (ages 1-5). Implement Amore's thematic curriculum options (rotating monthly themes or alternating content areas). Design "investigations" that encourage inquiry, hands-on learning, and creative expression. Build strong, supportive relationships with children and collaborate with Learning Leaf staff to ensure smooth transitions and classroom management. Adapt lessons for developmental differences across age groups. Provide Learning Leaf with lesson plans, student objectives, and materials in advance. Manage classroom materials and ensure a safe, nurturing learning environment.

Qualifications



Degree or coursework in early childhood education, child development, or related field (preferred). Demonstrated experience working with children ages 1-5 in a classroom, childcare, or enrichment setting. Ability to create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that spark curiosity and joy. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Reliable personal transportation. Professional, dependable, and flexible; able to collaborate effectively with school staff. Passion for fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence in young learners.

Schedule & Structure



2-3 times weekly (Tues-Thurs) at Learning Leaf Childcare Center. Lead workshops for three groups (Toddlers, 2-year-olds, PreK), 30-45 minutes each. Continuity across weeks allows students to build relationships, engage in long-term projects, and deepen skills.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $45.00 - $85.00 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week
