Assistant Teacher

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum requirement High school Diploma or equivalent (GED) Preferred Associate degree in early childhood education or in progress of a degree in education (Study Plan) Previous experience teaching children in an Early Childhood program First Aid & CPR a plus!
Skills & knowledge

Hours are from 2:00pm-6:00 pm

Be warm and loving with a positive attitude and appreciation of children Strong communication and interpersonal skills Must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the teacher, children and program Ability to work respectfully with persons from diverse cultural and economic backgrounds Ability to organize and reflect teaching goals and progress in documentation: lesson plans, assessments and evaluations Ability to engage children in developmentally appropriate ways ( also including addressing children at eye level, sitting with children on the floor, engaging children in play and conversation) Ability to attend to daily tasks as an educator
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 40 per week
