Coppla brings people together through interest-based groups and intentional connection. Our Early Career Professionals group is growing quickly, and we're looking for a Group Lead who enjoys meeting new people, understands the unique challenges of the early career stage, and can keep conversations warm and easy. This position is being filled through Ashling Events on behalf of Coppla.
This role is based in Omaha, but we are also open to applicants interested in leading Early Career Professionals groups in Des Moines, Kansas City, or Lincoln. Role Summary The Group Lead serves as the main point of contact for the Early Career Professionals group. You don't need to be a career expert--just someone who is personable, reliable, and comfortable guiding a room. You'll welcome members, help set the tone for the group, and create space for genuine connection. The Ashling Events certification is required, and Safe Bar Network training must be completed to be eligible to host. This commitment is approximately 2 hours.
Key Responsibilities
Host one in-person Early Career Professionals event each month, occurring during normal business hours
Collaborate with Coppla to choose event locations and confirm details
Greet attendees and create a comfortable, welcoming environment
Facilitate introductions and help keep conversations flowing
Provide brief post-event feedback or attendance notes
Represent Coppla in a professional, friendly, community-minded way
Occasionally identify potential partners, members, or venues when you see a good fit
Compensation and Affiliate Earnings
$50 per event
Affiliate earning opportunities for member referrals (20%)
Revenue sharing on approved sponsorships (varies)
Additional hosting or regional opportunities may become available as the group grows
Requirements
Completion of Safe Bar Network training (provided)
Ashling Events Certification (minimal, a scholarship will be provided)
Comfortable managing small groups and welcoming new people
Interest in early career development, professional growth, or building community with peers
Availability
One event per month, usually weekday afternoons or early evenings
Occasional communication with Coppla and Ashling Events between events
