Responsibilities

Open the store each day with enthusiasm, ensuring all areas are clean, organized, and ready for business Prepare baked goods, pastries, and other food items with precision and care, utilizing skills such as cake decorating, baking, and food preparation Manage food handling processes safely and efficiently, adhering strictly to food safety standards and hygiene protocols Package products attractively and accurately for customer purchases or catering orders Assist in food production tasks including cooking, pastry work, and general kitchen activities to meet daily demand Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, answering questions about products, and offering recommendations Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and store areas, including knife skills for ingredient prep and overall sanitation practices Support team members during busy periods by sharing culinary expertise such as food industry best practices or catering techniques Ensure all food items are prepared according to quality standards while maintaining a focus on safety and freshness Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth store operations from opening through closing

Requirements

Proven experience in food industry roles such as baking, pastry arts, catering or restaurant work Strong skills in cake decorating, baking, cooking, and food preparation techniques Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely including knives and baking tools Experience in packaging food products attractively for retail or catering purposes Kitchen experience that demonstrates efficiency in a fast-paced environment Passion for culinary arts with a background in pastry or bakery work preferred Ability to stand for extended periods while performing food prep tasks Flexibility to work early mornings as part of store opening routines

Pay: $14.00 - $18.00 per hour
