. The Dumpling Chef will play a key role in maintaining consistency, quality, and authenticity in our dumpling production while supporting a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment.
Responsibilities
Prepare and hand-make
traditional yuanbao-shaped dumplings
, using
two-hand pinching techniques
to ensure proper shape, seal, and appearance
Maintain consistency in dumpling size, filling ratio, and wrapping quality
Assist with dough preparation, filling prep, steaming, pan-frying, and plating as needed
Follow established recipes and preparation standards to ensure quality and authenticity
Work closely with the kitchen team to meet daily production and service demands
Maintain cleanliness and comply with food safety and sanitation standards
Help train or guide less-experienced staff when needed
Qualifications / Skills
Previous professional experience making dumplings is required
(restaurant or commercial kitchen preferred)
Strong understanding of
handmade dumpling techniques
, especially traditional Chinese styles
Ability to consistently form
neat, well-sealed yuanbao-shaped dumplings by hand
Comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen environment
Reliable, detail-oriented, and takes pride in craftsmanship
Knowledge of basic food safety and kitchen sanitation practices
Team player with good communication skills
